  • Heirship Certificate & Succession Certificate are issued through NADRA.
  • Partition suits can be filed in civil/family courts.
  • After court orders, the Patwari officially enters each heir’s share in land records.

Misuse of Power of Attorney

Issue: A trusted person misuses the Power of Attorney for personal benefit.
Legal Protection:

  • FIR can be registered for fraud and misuse.
  • The Power of Attorney can be revoked/cancelled through court.
  • Embassy-attested Power of Attorney is recommended for overseas Pakistanis to ensure legal protection.

Property Transfer & Registry Issues

Issue: Delay in transfer, illegal mutation, or corruption during registration.

  • Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA) provides digital verification of records.
  • Incorrect entries can be corrected through court orders.
  • Any unlawful transfer can be challenged in court.

Issue: Land grabbers threaten, intimidate, or demand unlawful payments.
Legal Protection:

  • Report to Anti-Land Mafia Cells and local police.
  • Severe threats can be charged under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA).
  • OPC prioritizes complaints from overseas Pakistanis.
